“KYOBANSAI -KYOTO SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL-” is a music festival that focuses on anime soundtracks, which play an important role in the globally popular media known as Japanese anime.

 

Although soundtracks are an important element in media that could change the impact of a scene, there has never been a soundtrack-focused music festival in the world, nor in the center of animation, Japan.

 

We want to bring the beauty of soundtrack music, which has the ability to bring out the best of the media, to those who love anime all over the world.

 

With the strong motive of wanting to hold the world's first soundtrack music festival in Japan, we held "Episode 0" in September 2022 at the World Heritage Site "Kamigamo Shrine", in Kyoto, an ancient city with a rich history of over 1300 years.

 

In April 2023, the greatest composers, who stand at the forefront of Japanese animation, gathered again when the festival moved to Tokyo for "TOKYOBANSAI -TOKYO SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL- 2023," which was held in front of a live audience for the first time.

 

On September 16th, 2023 (Saturday), "KYOBANSAI -KYOTO SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL- 2023" will be held in Kyoto at Umekoji Park.
